THE COURSE
Who is it for?
For students who want to simply converse and get confidence in their French around a coffee (or glass of wine) in a relaxed atmosphere.
What are we going to do during the group live classes?
First, you will talk about the video you watched and prepared for the class. The teacher is going to ask you some comprehension questions.
Secondly, she will ask you to give your personal opinion about this video. It will be the occasion for you to reuse the vocabulary you have learned in context.
After that, the teacher will ask you some questions about a topic related to this video. She will guide you and encourage you to talk by developing your answers as much as you can. In the meantime, she will take some notes about the different mistakes she notices or will find a better way to express an idea.
Finally, at the end of the class, she will share with you all her notes and will go through each mistake and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have.
Am I only going to work on my speaking and comprehension skills?
If you want to, yes!
However, in your weekly video assignment, you will have the opportunity to answer a written question asked by your teacher. She will check it and send you the correction before the start of the next live class.
Am I only going to watch only one video per week?
Am I only going to watch one video per week?
It’s entirely up to you! If you have a busy timetable and can only watch the weekly video recommended by your teacher, that’s fine!
However, if you have more time to give for your French, you are welcome to watch as many as you want on Fluentu platform!
Will my teacher support me outside the live lessons?
Of course! Your teacher is here FOR YOU during and outside the live classes.
During the live lessons, feel free to ask any questions you might have to your teacher and please remember: there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers (so all the stress is on me, not you! 😉 )
Outside the live lessons, your teacher will track your progress on the platform and provide weekly personalised feedback. She will help you to quickly identify areas to focus on and where you may need additional support . She will know exactly what needs to be done to move you forward in your learning to achieve the best grade! Also, she will answer any questions you might have and aim to answer within the next 24h!
When, where and how am I going to study?
Anytime, anyplace, anywhere!
During the live lessons
All the group lessons will take place on Zoom. To access the lessons, you just need to have 4 important things/tools:
-a reliable internet connection
-a phone, laptop or tablet
-your good mood
-motivation
Your teacher will do the rest! She will save all the lessons’ notes on a Document that will be shared with you after each lesson, so you don’t need to take any notes. However, if you wish to do so, be her guest!
The lessons will take place at a regular weekly day and time that suits the group’s members and the teacher. You can contact her to have more information about the details of the current group.
Outside the lessons
You can access the interactive platform Seneca whenever and wherever through your tablet, laptop or phone. Between each live class, you can reinforce your knowledge by self-studying. For effective learning, I recommend that you use it for 20-30 minutes every day until your exam. And don’t forget that you can send messages to your teacher whenever you want if you need help at any point of your learning!
